The last stop on our 8-day road trip was Telluride! What a great town. We had been wanting to go here for years and tried to make it to the Bluegrass Festival and Blues and Brews every year, but something else always cropped up. One of my favorite aspects of Telluride is how you can gondola hop your way around town. I love anyplace where you can easily walk or take public transportation to get around. It was so nice to park our car and not need it again until we left town. We had a gorgeous suite at the Hotel Madeline in Mountain Village, which was right next to the gondolas that take you into the town of Telluride, the grocery store, etc. Our first item on the itinerary was MASSAGES! We had hiked close to 30 miles and about 20,000 feet of elevation by that point in the trip, so we had some sore legs in need of R&R. Our couples massage at the Spa Linnea was absolutely divine. I also fell in love with the glittery wallpaper at the spa. How cool is this? I am obsessed with using this in a guest bathroom at our future house in San Diego.
The next day, we took the gondola into town to hike Bear Creek Falls. It had beautiful views of Telluride and a
freezing cold refreshing waterfall.
That night, we enjoyed an outdoor concert in Mountain Village
Our Colorado Road Trip 2011 was so much fun. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing more of Colorado as we traveled to Steamboat Springs, Aspen, Crested Butte and Telluride. What a beautiful state we live in.
