NYE dinner at Table 6
I'm trying to get back into this blog. I'm a wee bit forgetful and didn't realize how much time had passed since the last update. 2011 has been off to a great start. We were lucky enough to ring in the New Year with Kathleen, Steve, Laura and Rudy. We had a blast when they came to visit....delicious NYE dinner at Table 6 then danced away 2010. In January, we also had visits from my dad and Carter's brother, Richard, who were kind enough to help us with some home repairs. We went to a Nuggets game and even got to have an early birthday celebration for Dad out here. It was great to see everyone.
February: Carter's dad came to visit a couple of weekends ago. We toured the US Mint, enjoyed a great happy hour in Wash Park, played at the Science Museum, saw the Hubble IMAX 3D and celebrated Hob's 79th birthday. We had such a fun weekend together.
March: Restaurant Week(s)! Carter and I love trying new restaurants and new food, so we have big plans to do both. This past weekend, we went to Bones, a small Asian fusion noodle house at 7th and Grant. We had the tuna poke as an appetizer. For entrees, I ordered the Lobster Ramen and it blew me away. Carter's Pork Udon was also good, but the lobster ramen was definitely the best :) It had big chunks of delicious lobster, edamame and a creamy lobster broth. We also ordered a sake flight only to remember that neither of us particular cares for sake. Oh well. They also serve little bowls of soft serve for dessert (chocolate amaretto and vanilla chai), so of course, I loved that. After dinner, we headed over to the Esquire to see "The King's Speech". Glad we squeezed it in before the Oscar's. Definitely deserved all of the praise it received.
