Top 5 Things the Sigmon's Are Into This Week:

1) Our veggie bins from Mile High Organics: This week, we got an artichoke in our bin. I'd never cooked an entire artichoke before and it was enlightening. I steamed it and made a dip for the leaves for our app and baked chicken with an artichoke heart sauce. Carter claims it was delicious, but I think he was just being nice :) It needs a little more work before the recipe is where I want it to be, but it was nice to cook something new.
We also love our carrots, aren't these stems fantastic?

What's up, doc?
2) Seared Ahi: When we lived in Richmond, we loved getting sushi grade tuna from Carytown Seafood and searing it at home. When we moved to Colorado, we stopped eating sushi as much in general...something about living in a landlocked state just doesn't make seafood top of mind. Carter has revived this old favorite and made some yummy seared ahi the other night. So good!

3) Snooze: We LOVE Snooze. It is one of my top 3 favorite brunch spots of all time (the other two are Gilly's in Blacksburg and 821 Cafe in Richmond. Just in case you wanted to know ;) The pancake flight is so good that I have yet to try something different. It's always a long wait for a table, but worth it. I met up with the girls for brunch the other day and enjoyed catching up over Snooze yumminess. I got my fix of sweet potato, pineapple upside down and red velvet pancakes.

4) Cheering for Virginia teams! (of course, it would have been better if the Hokies didn't get screwed!) It's been exciting to see Carter's med school alma mater doing so well this year. The FSU game was a nail biter and we're excited for the game today. Go VCU!

5) Redeeming spa gift cards: Finally! We have lots of gift cards that needed to be redeemed so I got to work on booking some spa action. I got a wonderful facial the other day and we have a couple's massage this afternoon. So excited!
