I've been trying to catch up for the past month, but it hasn't quite happened yet. For everyone who keeps asking where my pics/blog of Costa Rica and Courtney's wedding are, they will be up sometime within the next week....maybe. Does a cute picture of my dog make up for it? These past 4-5 weeks have been an absolute blast and some of the best times I've had in a long time, but very busy! As soon as I took finals, I spent a wonderful week in nova/MD for Courtney's bachelorette party and visited with friends and family. I was back for 1 day before Carter's brother and sister came for a great weekend visit for the U2 concert. The day after the concert, we took the red eye to Costa Rica for a week of bliss. We were fortunate to get back in time to visit with the Fleming's before they left Denver and headed back to Richmond. Dental hygiene summer session started the day after we returned, and I've already had 2 finals within the past 3 weeks. No, that was not a typo. We are churning and burning through anesthesia, so in the meantime, I've also been getting numbed up so much my face feels like it's melting off. Today we got to play around with nitrous (no complaints). Last weekend was Courtney and Nick's BEAUTIFUL wedding at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club in Maryland. Tomorrow is another day of numbing each other up (9 injections each, in case you're wondering) then Carter and I are off to see MUMFORD AND SONS!!! I've been so excited for this show.
(giving my first local anesthesia injection)
In more exciting news, Carter is getting closer and closer to his last day of residency!! Friday is his "graduation" but his last day working isn't actually until June 30th. We are looking forward to celebrating the homestretch Friday night. I still can't believe that his residency is almost over....that was a quick 4 years. We also celebrated Carter's birthday recently. Tally was excited to be a part of the streamers/balloons "surprise" tradition.
So there it is, my pile of excuses. I feel bad getting so far behind in the personal stuff, but I've just been having too much fun :) My to-do list grows exponentially each day, but I have high hopes of stopping to sleep/return phone calls/paint/blog/post photos/plant flowers/pick up the house/etc soon.
