Mumford & Sons recently came to the Fillmore and I was ECSTATIC that Carter snagged us tickets! I had been dying to see them for a while now, and was bummed that there weren't plans for them to come Denver anytime soon. We lucked out that they decided to play in Denver for a couple nights on their way to the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, and Carter got us rocking seats. My husband is the best.
We got there in time for the second opening band, Nathaniel Rateliffe. While I liked "
"Early Spring Till" the best, below is a clip of "Shroud" (with Marcus Mumford giving them a hand). Pretty decent band, worth checking out their other stuff.
Box 1, baby ;)
Mumford & Sons
And now, MUMFORD! We had a great time with the other people in our box and were so excited to see Mumford & Sons - finally! I love this band for so many reasons. It was one of the best shows I've seen; I tried to take as many videos as I could to capture the energy of the room. These guys clearly love what they do - they look like they are having the best time just rocking out together. They are so talented - they all play multiple instruments, their harmonies are perfect and their chemistry is unmistakable. The crowd ate up the energy that Mumford was giving off, which turned into a contagious feeding frenzy of excitement. Below are some clips - I did my best to hold the camera still but I'm not very good at standing still while great music is being played :)
