It's hard to believe that the last posting was before we closed on our house. It has definitely been a whirlwind as we were consumed with moving, furnishing the casa, going back to school, etc. The fall was busy with lots of traveling back east for weddings, babies and visits with friends. In November, Michelle and I went to Indianapolis to visit Kim and Jake and meet their two beautiful girls, Averie and Hazel. We had a wonderful weekend and had a girls' day at the spa. The following weekend, Carter and I went to Richmond for Thanksgiving and swung down to Blacksburg for the UVA game. We had a great time visiting with all of the Sigmon clan and our VT friends. In December, Carter and I went to see Swan Lake for the first time and loved it. We also saw Neil Diamond at the Pepsi Center. It was fun to be the youngest people in the arena....I had missed getting carded! :) Kathleen and Steve came out for a weekend and we went skiing in Vail and Keystone...they were troopers for braving the cold! We spent a great week in San Diego for Christmas, and went up to Hermosa Beach for a night to celebrate my birthday.
January is off to a busy start! My dear friend, Laura Cannaday, visited with us for a weekend and we had so much fun catching up and getting massages at our spa day. Mom was here this past weekend and we lucked out with gorgeous weather! It was so nice that I was able to take mom on a "walking tour" of Denver and we ended up walking almost 9 miles as we went downtown and through the various parks. We even went indoor skydiving for the first time, which was AMAZING!!!!!! Mom was the daredevil of the group and we had so much fun flying around. It will certainly not be our last time in the wind tunnel!
I will try to be better about providing updates...things get so busy with work and school but hopefull my blogging record will improve this semester :) Hope 2009 is off to a great start for everyone...
